The J. Frank White Academy (JFWA) of Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) welcomes Paula Goins as a sixth grade English language arts and seventh grade science teacher. A native of Claiborne County, Goins brings 17 years of classroom experience and 14 years in administration to her new role.
Goins earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from East Tennessee State University (ETSU), followed by an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from LMU. Her extensive background will enhance the learning environment at JFWA.
"I was drawn to JFWA because it offered the kind of opportunities I was looking for," said Goins. "I am excited to explore a new direction in private school education."
Goins plans to engage her students in exciting classroom projects this fall, including constructing a Ferris wheel and exploring the classic novel Charlotte's Web.
“Ms. Goins is a tremendous asset to both our faculty and student body,” said Dr. Kristina Hudson, JFWA Upper School Principal. “We are excited to have her join us and love seeing the enthusiasm and positivity she brings to those around her. “
